Cyathipodia corium (Wels.) Boud. Schwarzer Pokalbecherling. Fruit body stalked, cup-like then expanded. Cap black and smooth, with outer surface appearing lighter due to downy hairs. Stem 8–15mm long, black, covered in a down of dark grey brown, thin-walled septate hairs. Asci 300 x 18µ. Spores broadly elliptic, smooth, containing one large oil drop, 20–22 x 12–14µ. Habitat on sandy soil often on dunes. Season summer to autumn. Uncommon but locally abundant. Not edible. Found In Europe.
